Yet that is exactly what you can CHOOSE to do on one of P and O's latest excursions...........

Is Cruising Getting Cheaper?

Over the past five years as you can imagine I have checked a cruise or two. I was asked the other day if cruising is getting any cheaper, and there is a very straight forward answer to this question.......YES it is. When I first started, you would be lucky if you could get cabin availability three months prior to departure, now you can get something booked three days before. Why is this? More competition, the economic climate, more ships to fill? Its actually a combination of all three and more.........

Shall I book on on board?

With the deals getting better and better, is it still worth booking your next cruise on board your current voyage? I was speaking with one of my clients yesterday and I was asked this very question. Officially the cruise lines will tell you that you get the best price and on board credit on board, which to a certain extent is true. If you are booking the same cruise at the same time with an agent, you will get a smaller credit, and in some case less discount (Cunard offer a further 3% off booking on board on certain voyages). But, is it going to be cheaper if you just book the cruise on a late rate further down the line?..............Possibly!

Cruising is becoming more and more popular for families. Which is brilliant, but the cruise ships are also getting a lot larger, which brings up the question, "How do you keep track of your children on board?" Well it seems that Royal Caribbean have found the solution!

I'm back in the office!

After a two week break I am now officially back in the office here at Cruise.co.uk. For anybody who has not spoke with me over the last 9 months, I am now fortunate enough to become a Father again. My daughter was born on Friday 13th, so for the past fortnight I have been knee deep in nappies.  I do not have any planned time off for a while. As normal, any questions or quires you have, or even if you want to be nosey, let me know as I am back manning the fort. As somebody has to pay the bills!
